Professor Maur teaches teaches courses in family law and dispute resolution. Her research has focused on how the family law procedural system can better serve all parties in a family law dispute. She is a frequent invited presenter at a variety of top-level national legal fora, including the National Family Law Program and the National Judicial Institute. Professor Maur has twice been given the Law Students’ Society Teaching Excellence Award. She embraces innovative teaching techniques and has been instrumental in designing and delivering Queen’s Law’s Certificate in Law program, a cutting-edge online and blended educational program for undergraduate students. Professor Maur practiced Family Law in Kingston for over 25 years before joining Queen’s Law full-time.
