In the afternoon of June 5, a total of 180 Queen’s Law students will enter the next stage of their careers. At Spring Convocation, 175 JD students, four LLM students and one PhD student will be awarded their degrees as they are cheered on by faculty, family and friends.
During the ceremony, graduands will be addressed by Principal Daniel Woolf, Artsci’80, Dean Bill Flanagan, honorary graduate Professor Emeritus David Mullan, LLM’73, and graduating student class representative Noah Leszcz. Chancellor Jim Leech will present the top Faculty and University awards: the Medals in Law to the three JD students with the highest cumulative averages; the Dean’s Key to the JD student who best embodies community values, collegiality, professionalism, service and academic excellence; and the Agnes Benidickson Tricolour Award, the highest honour given by the AMS for valuable and distinguished contributions through campus community services.
The Law ceremony will be simulcast via Adobe Flash Player. Viewers can watch the live ceremony feed starting at about 2:15 pm. By mid-June, a recording of the ceremony will be available from the University Registrar’s website.
